Appointments & Committees
The Village of Breton is governed by a Mayor and 4 Councillors. Council meetings are held on the second Wednesday of each month at 7:00 p.m. in Council Chambers of the Carolyn Strand Civic Centre. The public is welcome to attend all regular Council Meetings.
Senior Advisors from the community are part of Village Council. They bring both ideas and information to the Council Meetings. The advisor is not allowed to vote on subjects that are brought forth to Council.
Strategic Planning is an important part of community sustainability, providing direction to staff and council as they allocate available resources to achieve a common vision of Breton in the future. Both staff and council participated in visioning and goal setting workshops which have resulted in this five year strategic plan.
